The Rubelli story is one of weaving, starting in Venice in 1890 and setting out from there to conquer the world.

A Rubelli fabric is not just a beautiful, quality creation that appeals to the eye and to the touch. A Rubelli fabric tells the story of a precious heritage made up of a mix of expertise and culture.

Every year new ideas, new processes and new technologies give life to new collections, one-off items that can amaze both for the mastery with which new designs are created or how patterns from the past are reworked in a contemporary style, as well as the complex technical construction. Fabrics for every type of living space – from classic to contemporary – produced not only by the in-house design team but also by designers of various nationalities and backgrounds.

The magic spell of creating a fabric has been repeated for more than 130 years at Rubelli. At the ultra-modern mill in Como, the most diverse types of fabric are produced, including custom types: lampas, damask, plain, faux uni, textures with natural or technical yarns and sheers. Moreover, 4 original 18th century looms still produce soprarizzi, precious handmade velvet.

Research, that has always been in the company’s DNA, for some years now has been moving in the direction of studying yarns and processes as sustainable as possible as part of a green process.

Rubelli has always been Venice. But it is also Milan, Paris, London, Dubai and dozens of countries on the five continents. All over the world Rubelli fabrics furnish houses, villas, lofts, penthouses and yachts, dress palaces, museums, theatres and casinos, and travel on large cruise ships.

Standing alongside the textile collections and custom products is a rich range of wall coverings – both fabric and vinyl – with the unmistakable Rubelli spirit. For both residential and contract use, like the fabrics.
