The Design Leadership Network is thrilled to announce an exceptional lineup of DLN Partner events at this year’s Legends of La Cienega, taking place from May 9th to 11th. This year’s theme, “The Fashion of Home,” will explore the exciting intersection of fashion and interior design. Expect insightful keynotes and engaging discussions that delve into tailoring in interiors, the crossover between fashion and design, fashion trends in home furnishings, decor, and appliances, as well as the influence of fashion designers on trends and spaces.

Join Jill Sieracki, managing editor of Galerie magazine, for a conversation exploring the intersection of fashion and interiors with DLN Member Noz Nozawa, designers Jeremiah Brent and Adam Bram Straus, and lighting designer Scott Richler of Gabriel Scott. They’ll discuss how the runway provides endless ideas, how fashion design legends are endless resources of timeless design, and how luxury labels have upped the ante when it comes to creating their retail experiences.

THE LIVING LEGEND KEN FULK PRESENTS THE MOVIE IN MY MIND | THE RUG COMPANY SHOWROOM | 11 AM

Co-recipient of this year’s LCDQ Living Legend Award, Ken Fulk will deliver remarks on his latest book, The Movie in My Mind, followed by a book signing. VIP registrants only.

Soho Home hosts House Beautiful editorial director Joanna Saltz, DLN Member Richard Mishaan, and Candace Hickman, lead designer at Soho House, for a conversation on making people feel at home wherever they are. The talk will be followed by a cocktail reception and book signing for Mishaan.

CREATING A LIVABLE WORK OF ART | RENAISSANCE DESIGN SHOWROOM | 1:30 PM

DLN Member Richard Landry presents a deep dive into a recent project of his, a contemporary reinterpretation of a classical French chateau with Philip Nimmo. Landry will be joined by California Homes editor-in-chief Susan McFadden.

HENRY CHRONOS INTRODUCTION | WATERWORKS SHOWROOM | 3 ­– 5 PM

Architects (and DLN Members) Thomas Kligerman, Michael Imber, Doug Wright, and Steve Rugo meet on stage with the DLN’s Michael Diaz-Griffith to discuss will how painting has served their psyche and their work. Paintings from each architect will be offered for sale, with proceeds going to charity, and a book signing for Shingle and Stone: Thomas Kligerman Houses will follow the conversation.

Join designer and showroom owner Peter Dunham, a close friend of the late Suzanne Rheinstein (recipient of LCDQ’s Living Legend award in 2019), for a master class on design and a walk down memory lane with the architects and designers who collaborated with her to create memorable homes.

Fashion has historically had a way of trickling into the home, but now it’s a question of what came first — home or fashion? Designers Scott Formby and Jessica Gersten join House Beautiful’s Robert Rufino and moderator Carisha Swanson to weigh in on fashion’s historical influences and what’s relevant now.

THE EVER-EVOLVING INTERSECTION BETWEEN FASHION AND INTERIOR DESIGN | MEHRABAN SHOWROOM | 11 AM

California Home+Design editorial director Lindsey Shook sits down with renowned fashion and interior designer Erin Fetherston to discuss the process, challenges, and successes of collaborating with major brands. Afterwards, guests may enjoy lunch provided by Kogi, the original Roy Choi food truck.

Get art-inspired as Harmony Murphy of Gagosian Gallery, and MaryLinda Moss of Source Art chat with Ron Woodson about how to successfully curate the most impactful art for your projects. Plus, meet the 15 artists that are represented at Michael-Cleary during a sips and bites social hour with a chance to enjoy Source Art’s curation for the Michael-Cleary Showroom.
