After a three-year hiatus spurred by COVID and a turbulent New York housing market, the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse has made its triumphant return to New York. And what a return it is: For its 48th year, the design phenomenon that launched the careers of stars like Mario Buatta (it was his Kips Bay room that earned him the moniker the Prince of Chintz) has taken up residence in the historic River Mansion at 337 Riverside Drive. Over two dozen designers transformed the iconic home, resulting in one of the most impressive displays in Kips Bay history. The DLN is proud to count a whopping eight Members among this year’s participating designers. Take a look at their spaces below, and if you’re in New York through June 11, go visit for a dose of design inspiration in support of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
